Caramel-Sea Salt Crunchy Protein Pancakes
Start your morning with a CRUNCH
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for cooking pancakes
- 4 individual Caramel Sea Salt Friendly Grains Crunchy Rollers crushed into coarse pieces
- 1 cup berries (blueberries, blackberries or raspberries)
Instructions:
In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a medium bowl, whisk together milk, honey, yogurt, eggs and vanilla.
Add the flour mixture to the wet mixture and stir until just combined (over-mixing can make texture rubbery).
Heat a large nonstick pan or cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Add ½ tablespoon of oil to pan and swirl to coat. Pour ¼ cup portions of the batter into the pan. Sprinkle approximately 2 tablespoons of the coarse-crushed pieces of FGCR Caramel-Sea Salt Flavor over the uncooked top side of each pancake. Sprinkle a few berries on top as well. Cook over medium heat for 1 to 2 minutes until bubbles form on top of the pancake. Flip pancakes over and cook for an additional 1 to 1 ½ minutes, or until they are golden brown.
Repeat with remaining oil and batter. Serve and enjoy!
